What is a CDPE?

A Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) is a real estate professional who has undergone extensive training and education to learn the many options for avoiding foreclosure. He or she has studied the complicated issues involved in working with distressed properties and is able to offer guidance on the best options for an individual homeowner. Sandra has been through the training and was "certified" for years - and while she is no longer "certified as a CDPE" she is very knowledgeable and knows how to get through the process when times get tough.

What is a Short Sale?

A short sale occurs when your lender agrees to accept an amount from a buyer that is less than the current balance on your mortgage loan. If you currently owe $175,000 on your mortgage and the lender agrees to a sale price of $150,000, a short sale has occurred.
